To search by location, head into Advanced Search and select Add company criteria -> Location
Type the target region or postcode into the dialogue box to generate suggestions.
This search will allow you to look for companies that are headquartered in London.
You might also be interested in the company's registered (legal) or trading addresses. To specify this, select the box that says head office and choose from the drop-down options.
You might also be interested in searching over the radius of a postcode or region, by selecting the box that says is and changing this to is within a radius of.
Then enter your radius criteria.
Visualising geographical data
The Map tab will generate a location distribution for all of the companies in a search or Collection. By default, this will show a Heat Map for the concentration of companies across regions, local authorities or Local Enterprise Partnerships
You can also use the more specific location map, which shows a more precise location down to a street-level view
